Terms of Service
Last updated 2 October 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and Mayur Srivastava, a sole trader trading as HacknetAI, based in Dublin, Ireland ("we", "us"). They cover the HacknetAI website and its desktop apps, Lumen and jobEasy (together, "the service"). By creating an account you accept them.
Your account
You must be 18 or older. Give a real email address and keep your password (and two-step login, if you use it) private: you're responsible for what happens on your account. One account is for one person.
Plans and payment
Paid plans are sold through Link, operated by Stripe, which is the merchant of record. Link takes the payment, charges any VAT, GST or sales tax due (the prices shown include it), sends receipts and handles payment questions. Link's own terms also apply to the purchase. Charges appear on your statement as LINK.COM*.
Plans renew automatically each month or year until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from your account; you keep access until the end of the period you've paid for and won't be charged again. In India, renewals by card or UPI follow RBI e-mandate rules, so your bank tells you before each charge. If we change a price, we'll email you at least 30 days before it applies to your next renewal, and you can cancel before then.
jobEasy has a free allowance that is used once, not every month. Plans may also be given free of charge, for example to testers; those end on the date we tell you.
Refunds and your right to cancel
You can ask for a full refund within 14 days of your first payment for a plan, even after you've started using it. The refund policy has the details. This doesn't affect your rights as a consumer under the law of the country you live in.
Usage limits and fair use
Each plan includes the allowances shown on the pricing page (for example Lumen interview minutes, or jobEasy CVs, ATS checks and cover letters per month). They reset on your plan's monthly date and don't roll over. To keep the service fast and affordable, we may limit or pause accounts whose use is automated, abusive, or clearly beyond normal personal use.
Licence
While you have an account, you may install and use the apps on your own computers for your own personal or professional use. You may not resell, share or redistribute them, reverse-engineer them, get around the usage limits or sign-in, or use the service to build a competing product. The apps update themselves; a very old version may stop working until it updates.
AI output and your responsibility
The service uses AI models from third-party providers. AI output can be wrong, incomplete or unsuitable: read and check everything before you rely on it, send it or say it. You are responsible for what you submit to employers and for following the rules of any platform, employer, exam or interview process you take part in, including any rules about using assistance tools. We don't promise any particular result, such as an interview or a job offer.
Only upload content you have the right to use. You keep ownership of your CVs, documents and the text the service produces for you.
Availability
We work to keep the service running, but it may sometimes be unavailable, for example during maintenance or when an AI provider has an outage. Features may change as the service develops. If we stop offering the service, we'll give you reasonable notice and refund the unused part of any prepaid period.
Our liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or your statutory rights as a consumer. Otherwise, we're not liable for losses that weren't foreseeable, for business losses, or for decisions others make based on material you send them, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
Suspension and closing your account
You can close your account at any time by contacting us. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms or misuse the service, and will tell you why unless the law or security reasons prevent it.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. For material changes we'll email you at least 30 days before they take effect; if you don't agree, you can cancel before then.
Law
These terms are governed by the law of Ireland, and the courts of Ireland have jurisdiction. If you're a consumer living elsewhere in the EU or UK, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of your country and can bring a claim there.
